The format
The hackathon follows a 48-hour format where participants form teams, choose a challenge, develop solutions using NASA’s open data, and present their projects to judges.
Team Formation and Challenge Selection
The hackathon follows an intensive 48-hour format, where participants form teams and select from a set of real-world challenges provided by NASA. These challenges cover a wide range of topics, including space exploration, Earth sciences, artificial intelligence, and sustainability. Teams collaborate to develop innovative solutions, leveraging NASA’s open data, coding, design, and problem-solving skills to create impactful projects.
Mentorship and Collaboration
Throughout the event, participants have access to mentors, industry experts, and workshops that help refine their ideas and improve their technical and presentation skills. The hackathon encourages an open and inclusive environment where individuals from diverse backgrounds—whether experienced professionals or first-time participants—can contribute their unique perspectives.
